Footy Finals are here and we are celebrating with a ‘Sports Day’ on the last day of term. On Friday 22nd September, students may dress up in their favourite footy, soccer, rugby. hockey etc. outfits.

NO MONEY IS REQUIRED- it is just a fun day to support your favourite team.

Don’t forget, swimming starts on Tuesday. Normal school hours will apply to students, even though the swimming sessions are staggered.

Please have children wear their bathers under their uniform to save time and pack swimming gear (goggles, towels etc.) in a separate bag to their regular school bag. A named plastic bag would be fine. Teachers will issue swimming caps to children on the first day of swimming. If you haven’t ordered a cap through the school please don’t forget to pack one, as they WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SWIM without a cap.

Visitors to the pool will need to sign in at Haileybury’s reception to collect a school issued sticker. We would appreciate your cooperation and support of Haileybury’s school policies to keep all children and visitors safe. Rostered parent helpers will only need to sign in at Beaconsfield Primary School and collect their lanyard prior to boarding the bus.

Also, Student Led interviews will be conducted next week. If you cannot attend your scheduled interview, please call the office so your teacher can receive the message. This will allow us to plan our time effectively as the interviews absolutely fly!

We look forward to a wonderful end to a busy term!

Thank you to all our staff and families (and some are both!) who came to our Beacy Family Night tonight. We were blown away with the turnout in terrible weather. It’s so great to see our community out and about at these events.

Trash Puppets Incursion

We are looking forward to attending the 5/6 Trash Puppets incursion on Friday. If you have not already returned the forms with a donation towards their fundraiser, we would be grateful if you could try and send them in by tomorrow.

The form does say it requires parental consent to attend but we will be ensuring all children are included in this exciting project being undertaken by our 5/6 students.  It would be wonderful if you could support their cause of advocating recycling and the effect of litter on our environment. They will be using our donations to fund their awareness campaign which is to make key rings and stickers to remind us all to recycle where we can.

Thank you for the donations we have had already- what a great way to get rid of those pesky coins 😉
